KIPP San Francisco Bay Academy is a free public school that is open to all residents of the State of California. KIPP San Francisco Bay Academy does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, gender, national origin or disability of the students and/or the parents or guardians. The enrollment policy for KIPP San Francisco Bay Academy is as follows:
First Application Period
The first application period occurs from January 1 to March 31. All parents and/or guardians who wish to enroll their child must apply to the school. An application must be completed and received by the school by March 1, to be eligible for the first application period. If the number of applicants to KIPP San Francisco Bay Academy during the first application period exceeds the capacity of the first application period, a public random drawing selection process for enrollment will be used immediately following the application period. If all of the seats are filled after the random drawing, a waiting list will be established in the event that space becomes available. If seats remain, applications will be accepted on an on-going, first-come, first-serve basis. This procedure also will be followed to fill vacant seats in grades six, seven, and eight should seats become available.
Enrollment Period
After the application period interested families will be able to meet with the KIPP San Francisco Bay Academy staff and review the expectations of the school as outlined in the Commitment to Excellence Form.
Any student who expresses his/her intent to enroll by signing the KIPP San Francisco Bay Academy’s Commitment to Excellence Form, and has his/ her parent or guardian sign this Commitment, will be enrolled in KIPP San Francisco Bay Academy.
